Blanca Gamez-Djokic is an Assistant Professor of Teaching, Learning and Equity at National Louis University. Her research examines whiteness; race and racialization; the intersections of race, affect and gender in teaching and learning interactions; and the interactional and cultural politics in research-practice collaborations.
Prior to joining National Louis University, Blanca was Visiting Assistant Professor of Education at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She completed her Ph.D. in the Critical Studies of Race, Class and Gender at the Graduate School of Education at the University of California, Berkeley, an Ed.M. in Arts in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. inSociology and Anthropology at Swarthmore College.
